We are supporting The Academy of Real Assets to help students from under-served & higher need schools get wider access to the world of real estate, real assets & investments. As part of our work with the academy, in July 2022, we offered 2 students from Lambeth Academy work experience.
Launched in 2020 by our Diversity & Inclusion Committee, our Culture Club meets regularly to discuss a wide range of topics. Originally a book club, the group has organically evolved to include documentaries, podcasts & films.

We regularly take part in events such as the JLL Property Triathlon or the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge. And we’re not afraid to leave our comfort zones – some of us even swim across the bay in Cannes as part of the annual swiMIPIM. Whether on dry land or not, we’re always keen to support new causes.
We are supporting Inspire! a London based charity working to improve young people’s access to the world of work, raise achievement levels & enhance their future career prospects and lives.
In July 2022, we were awarded the Gold Payroll Giving Quality Mark Award after introducing our Charitable Payroll Giving Scheme in March. The scheme allows tax-free donations to be made to a charity of our employee’s choice, with Clearbell matching every donation.
In 2022, we started supporting The Chartered Surveyors Bursaries Programme. This is designed to engage targeted students from UK state schools & colleges & encourage them to consider university as well as study & pursue a career in real estate. Our involvement includes financial support, work experience placements & ongoing mentoring for the student we sponsor during their 3 year course.
We are committed to ensuring that our ethos and culture goes further than just our immediate team and so we work with our Property Managers, Suppliers and Tenants on a wide range of initiatives.
In February 2021, we worked with one of our Property Managers, Ashdown Phillips, to organise boxes of chocolates to be delivered to the tenants at Orbital Retail Park, Cannock to thank them for providing essential services to their local community.
July 2021 will see some of our properties commit to Plastic Free July – a global awareness initiative of the Plastic Free Foundation that allows us to work towards our vision of seeing a world free of plastic waste.
Clearbell is a member of numerous industry bodies including the British Property Federation (membership organisation for the UK real estate industry), INREV (European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate) and GRESB (the ESG Benchmark for Real Assets). Several Clearbell Partners and senior tax professionals also regularly take part in panel discussions held by key industry bodies or working parties. These provide a valuable opportunity to review and discuss the latest issues and regulatory changes facing the UK real estate industry – and ensure our finger stays firmly on the pulse. In addition, 2023 saw Clearbell receive its first year of Business Certification from Planet Mark, as part of our commitment to measure and reduce our office carbon footprint and measure our social value.
