Clearbell secures lettings of Aldi and Pure Gym at Orbital Retail Park.

Clearbell Property Partners III LP (Clearbell), a fund managed by Clearbell Capital LLP, has successfully secured two new lettings totalling 30,000 sq ft, from Aldi and Pure Gym at its 120,000 sq ft Orbital Retail Park in Cannock, Staffordshire.

Aldi, the fast-growing German multinational discount supermarket chain, is due to open later this year following planning consent in 2022.

Pure Gym, the British chain of value health clubs, has also confirmed that it will be opening its doors in the retail park later this year after also signing a long-term commitment.

These are the last in a series of 7 lettings and regears in the past 12 months. The site is now fully let and showing strong rental growth.

Adam James, Asset Management Director, Clearbell, said:

“The commitment of Aldi and Pure Gym at Orbital Retail Park is excellent news for the park and will drive footfall from the surrounding Cannock neighbourhoods. The lettings also reinforce the park’s position as the dominant retail park in the catchment. Both businesses are joining a strong line up of stores already in place including M&S Food, Boots and Homebase.”

Robin William, Property Director, Aldi, added:

“We’re delighted to be opening a new store at Orbital Retail Park in Cannock in Q3 of 2023. Aldi is the UK’s fastest growing retailer based on figures from Q3 of 2022, cementing our position as the 4th most popular supermarket by shopper numbers.  Our new store at Orbital Retail Park will help us achieve our ambition of 1,000 UK stores by the end of 2023. Our investment here in Cannock will create around 45 new jobs with industry leading wages and will provide local shoppers with a convenient and modern store at one of the region’s most successful retail parks.”
